Keep low angle of cut |
|
HAND SAWING
|
|
|
* Fine toothed cross cut saw should be
used.
* The saw should be kept at an angle to the plain of the board and
not vertical. |

SPINDLE MOULDING AND ROUTER |
|
|
|
This process is carried out on a router and tungsten
carbide tipped moulding cutters with a spindle speed
of 3600 revolutions per minute and the material
speed of 6-10 per minute. |

EDGE SEALING
|
|
|
Edge sealing prevents the edge, from absorbing
moisture. For shelving racks it is necessary to
seal edge with any of the following sealants.
* Nitro - cellulose lacquere.
* Epoxy resin
* Polyvinyl acetate
* Polyurethane resin
* Synthetic wood primer
* Synthetic enamel paint or varnish

LIPPING
|
|
|
|
|
The following could be used as lipping material
* PVC Band
* Melamine edge boarding
* Solid wood strips
* Aluminium Strips |

SCREWING
|
|
|
WIN TUFF's high
internal bond strength gives high screw retention
strength, both in the face and edge over other types
of panel products. The following condition must be
observed to obtain best results.
* Use pilot hole, and it should be slightly beyond the full depth
of the screw penetration.
* Do not use ordinary wood screw.
* Do not hammer screw.
* If screws are repeatedly removed use plastic or metal sleevs.
* Distance of the screw from the corner is to be 100 mm on edge and
25 mm on face,
For best results direct NAILING on boards is
strictly not recommended.
Use only long, full threaded screw and not partially
threaded ones. |
